Won Ton
(From Brenda V)

About 60 won ton

½ pound ground pork (or pork sausage if ground pork isn’t available)
1 green onion, chopped fine (I use the green part too)
½ carrot grated fine
1 clove garlic, minced or dried minced garlic ( ½ teaspoon)
½ teaspoon ginger
1-2 teaspoon soy sauce or to taste
1 teaspoon oyster sauce
About 60 won ton pi (noodle wrappers)
Peanut oil for deep frying.  May use corn or canola oil

  • 1.       Mix ingredients well.  All except won ton pi.
  • 2.      Put about ½ -1 teaspoon meat mixture in center of won ton pi.  Fold wrapper diagonally and bring outer corners to center one.
  • 3.      Seal edges with beaten egg or water
  • 4.      Deep fry until golden brown.  If you put too much filling, the meat will not get cooked completely.
  • 5.      Drain on paper towel.
  • 6.      Can dip in mustard shoyu mixture (dry mustard mixed with a little water to make a paste and then mixed with soy sauce to taste.
